Fun video, thanks! We’re long-time Brewer fans, and Barrel man is my least-favorite logo. Ball-in-Glove is clever, perhaps one of the best ever logos. But I also like the “M” underlined by barley logo more. Just a preference. The ‘90s logo I HATED! As soon as I saw it, I wondered aloud “BM as a cap logo?? How long will it take for them to be called ‘the shit heads?’” I actually like the colors & font of the letters. But that “BM” on the cap was just an awful idea.

Does anyone have video of Aaron breaking this record? Or the total bases record?

As a life long baseball fan from Ohio I liked the Expos teams of the 80's with stars Andre Dawson, Tim Raines, Warren Cromartie and Gary Carter. I was a 12, 13 yr old leadoff hitter, second baseman (in the early 80's) so I was aware of speedy Rodney Scott, too. When a recent adult life trip to Canada led me to Montreal I knew a purchase of an Expo hat was a must for nephews and myself, of course. I love the red white and blue hat, explaining to many (I'm surprised how many don't know) it's a chubby "M" made with a cursive 'e' and the 'b' within for "expo baseball". The classic hat does turn heads and gets a reaction from baseball fans.

Technically the Celtics and the Braves didn't swap teams because the NBA didn't allow it. What they did was they traded the Franchises, all the players and the coaching staff but the teams remained the same. This was done to bypass the cities of Boston and Buffalo's legal pushback and the NBA's oversight. So Legally speaking the Braves became the Celtics and the 13 time NBA Champion Boston Celtics became known as the Buffalo Braves which are now known as the LA Clippers.

Browns fans will still close their eyes to the sheer one-sided hatred of Modell for moving "Their" Cleveland Browns despite how little Mike White did to help keep "Our" beloved Browns here: Mayor White sure jumped at the chance to get those votes by that immediate petition to keep team (which just reminded me of Dan Gilbert's rather childish letter to the city when LeBron so frustratingly left CLE ... more on LBJ ...) but, it was too late wasn't it Mr White. Well, played, well planned? You, basically, dared Modell, to leave didn't you? a 'football town' team had to wait for the Gateway project to be completed so the Indians and Cavaliers can have their downtown facilities first? hmm ... and the flat out insistence by AL Lerner to move the Browns to Baltimore. Nobody talks about Hoag, either. Yes, Modell is at fault, by far not a great business man, but it was His team to make a financially stable move: he was guaranteed a stadium to play in ... and Baltimore certainly deserved a pro football team after the classic NFL Colts had been gone for 12 years! The hatred of Modell and the death threats were freaking preposterous. To call him THE sports villain in Cleveland history is ridiculous. Remember Ted Stepien, Cavalier fans? Bad owners? How about the racist owners The Washington Commanders have had dating back to the Ernie Davis story trade (I just thought of the LA Clippers owner ... despicable to put it mildly). To put this in comparison/perspective are the sports fans in Cleveland who hate LeBron James too. Does having a competitive team and/or winning a championship mean nothing.? These are (pretty much) the same fans who -- for some more deeply embedded political reason? -- can't get passed the socially responsible move to change the name of a team to something less controversial in behest of a race of people who, basically, suffered a genocide -- just because we so need to celebrate our sports teams name(?) because it's all we have known it to be in our lifetime. That's a reason to NOT root for your hometown baseball team anymore? a mascot name change? It's still a pro team in Cleveland. Tradition should not include a narrow mind or the so-called status quo argument. I was only slightly side tracked. Even after the immediate agreement to get the Browns name and colors and franchise reinstated, with the help of Modell, way too many fans still hate Modell way too much. Houston had to wait for a new team AND a name change. Irsay kept the Colts name in Indianapolis, too. Damn, Irsay must be despised in Baltimore, but death threats are, still, way too extreme. All made business decisions. And, I admit, it was a long 3 years without the Browns and the Browns, basically, have not been good for 20 of 25 years since returning. But, did I mention I don't miss Modell, either? Yet, he was instrumental in implementing Monday Night Football. That was a significant step in the success of the NFL. Art Modell does deserve some recognition not just simple, one-side hatred. But, most Browns fans will continue to retaliate their continued disgust for Modell and, probably, anyone who suggests he deserves a little bit better in remembrance.

New York sports fan here... During the 1975 World Series, I fell in love with Fenway Park and its uniqueness. At first I thought that during the new ballpark craze, it was going to be replaced, but the Red Sox ownership did the best thing that was fortunately repeated in Chicago, in not tearing down the original park, but restoring it in such a way that most people wouldn't know. Kudos to the mastermind of renovations of Fenway Park and Wrigley Field, for keeping these true jewels of baseball architecture alive and well. Too bad they couldn't save the original Yankee Stadium and Tiger Stadium in the same way.

Ive always thought the ball and glove logo was cool. I might go buy the cap bow even though i dont folllw the team.

As a graphic artist, I’ve always loved this logo design. It’s definitely one of the best logos in the MLB. And I’m not a Brewer’s fan necessarily, but I would like to see them finally win a championship.

The ball in the mitt logo is without a doubt, the best Milwaukee Brewers logo but that Bleacher Report 50 greatest baseball logos of all time? It’s pretty infamous for being an overall terrible group of selections. They have at #1 the worst Oakland A’s logo in the ball clubs history. It’s also inaccurate as to when the logos were used. And forget about the short paragraphs explaining each logo, they read like one of the reporters brought it home and let his nine-year-old write it up.

If you're a brewer of whatever beverage you make. I really think a ball inside a glove doesn't make for a good Logo as far as representation of a team🤷‍♂️

The reason why this logo is so beloved is the exact reason why I loved it growing up - you could draw it, essentially from memory, and easily. You don't want to know how many things I doodled the Brewer logo on growing up... I admit that I never really cared for the "Germanic Lettering" of the 1990's, and I always thought the 2000 rebrand was essentially a kow-tow to Miller Brewing. The Ball-In-Glove is, IMNSHO, the best logo in baseball.

It's a great logo. I'm generally not a fan of letters comprising a logo, but this case transcends that. The only other exceptions I can think of are The Hartford Whalers, The Montreal Expos, and the Green Bay Packers. Other than that, letters are unimaginative for the most part.

When I was a less-than-observant kid, I did not care for this logo as I thought it was too kid-focused and cartoonish. When I got older and finally saw the MB, I realized it was the best logo in pro sports.

The "m" over "b" logo with baseball in "mitt" is the sh*t. Not sure who ranked 7 spots ahead of them, but how creative is the "m over b" logo? I watch all three of our major sports (and, yes [admittedly], MLS and WNBA sometimes). Who has this creatively of this logo???

The salary cap is what has made the NFL the Great viewing phenomenon that it is. People forget how uncompetitive football was up till the late .90s This is also the reason MLB is failing miserable year after year. No one wants to see a slew of top-notch prospects developed by a team only to have them jump to the Yankees Dodgers or other big market teams year after year after year.

As a Canadian who really does not follow baseball but loves Logos. My top 3 have to be 1. BlueJays (not because I am Canadian but just because it is good!), 2. NY Yankees. (So Iconic) 3. Milwaukee Brewers (Because it is BASEBALL!!!!). These are the top 3 logos in the MLB I can think of.

As a kid I thought it was lame to use a baseball glove. I was an adult before I really saw what it was and now I think it's one of the best logos in sports!!

I am a Brewers fan from Upstate NY. I have the Brewers mit cap and love it, but for some reason, I prefer to wear the "wheat" cap. They are hard to find but bought multiple ones. Nonetheless, the Brewers have always had a great look.
